Explain the working of a transformer. (NCERT Class 10/12 concept)

Answer: Transformer works on mutual induction. AC in primary coil creates changing magnetic flux in iron core inducing emf in secondary. V₂/V₁ = N₂/N₁, so it can step up/down voltage.
