Share of clicks that become conversions; required positive percentage.

Avg order value

Revenue per conversion that multiplies traffic gain into earnings.

Gross margin

Optional percent used to reveal profit impacts and ROI/payback.

CTR curve

Ranks 1–10 drive click estimates for current vs target positions.

Formula: Traffic gain = max(volume × CTR(target) − volume × CTR(current), 0); revenue = traffic gain × conversion rate × AOV; profit = revenue × gross margin; ROI = (profit − SEO cost) / SEO cost × 100.

Understanding SEO ROI results

This tool projects revenue by modeling the CTR lift between current and target ranks, converting traffic into revenue using your conversion rate and order value, and then applying gross margin plus SEO cost to reveal profit, ROI %, and payback.

How results get calculated

CTR curve: Ranks 1‑10 use the stored CTR model (positions outside that range count as zero clicks).

Traffic & revenue: Traffic gain = max(volume × CTR(target) − volume × CTR(current), 0); revenue multiplies that lift by conversion rate × AOV.

Profit & ROI: Profit applies gross margin; ROI/payback appear when an SEO cost is provided.

Any input change reruns the math so the summary tiles stay up to date.
